Steampunk Mani and mini review

So I've been wanting to do a mani like this for awhile but haven't had the plates to do one. I got my new Moyou plates on Friday and one of them was from the new Gothic Collection. Personally I think this plate shouldn't be in the Gothic Collection and it should be in a whole new Steampunk Collection. I've heard a lot of feedback on this plate and it all seems to agree with me. However I still love the plate and decided to use it.

I realised I didn't have any gold or brown (the typical steampunk colours) in normal polish and I only had my gold Mundo De Unas. I quickly went to the Pharmacy and bought 2 Sinful Colors - Gold Medal and Nirvana.I also bought Ulta 3 Chinchilly *pictured below*

Unfortunately the nirvna needed at least 3-4 coats to get full coverage where Chinchilly only needed 2. I decided to use Chinchilly on every second nail and Gold Medal on the others.

I absoultely loved the new Gothic plates and as usual they stamp like a dream. I'd love to see more actual Gothic plates in this collection though.

Materials used:
Moyou Gothic Collection #5 and 7
Polishes Used:
Ulta 3 Chinchilly, Sinful Colors Gold Medal
Stamping Polishes:
Mundo De Unas Black #2 and Gold #17

Splash Mani

Hello everyone!
I know it's been ages since my first post but I'm going to try and keep up with this blog from now on. I find I'm doing my nails a lot more lately and I want to share them as I'm getting better at my nail art every time.
This week I've done some stapming over black.

Used:
Base - China Glaze Liquid Leather
Stamping plate - Moyou London Princess #9
Stamping Polish - Mundo De Unas #8, 9, 11, 13, 4, 21, 15

While the red is still quite dark and according to Mundo De Unas website it doesn't stamp over black I think it looks fine.

First Post - Mixed Nail Art

First ever post! WOO!
I'm not new to stamping or nail art but I still consider myself a novice.
I've been doing my own acrylics for about a year now. I've been stamping for a few years but only recently gotten into it a bit more passionately.
I estimate my current nail polish collection to be at around 100+ polishes. I also have 20+ stamping plates. My collection is growing steadily and I can't stop! haha
Anyways on to my latest mani.

So I know I only have the one picture and didn't take pictures of the method. I will try to remember that for next time.
I used my Sally Hansen Insta Dry colours to halve every second nail using sticky tape. I then used stripping tape to create the 'X' shape. I painted over using BYS black.
One the other 2 nails I used Sinful Colours 'Amethyst' and stamped over it with Beauty Gal 'Silver' Special Stamping Polish (just one I got on ebay).
The plate I used was QA 50.
The last polish used was BK "15" (pictured)

I did end up denting one of my nails and I wasn't happy with how the stripping tape made the colour under the black appear "washed out" I might try sealing the colour with clear polish next time I use the tape.

Happy polishing! <3
